Blog:He Can See Clearly Now
We just couldn’t resist this one.
Cason Watson is seven years old. He lives in McMinnville, Oregon. He plays the piano and goes to school every day like any other kid his age.
But Cason is a bit different. He was born with a rare sight disorder called bilateral optic nerve hypoplasia. In short, Cason can only see the world through an area of his eye that is as large as a pinhole.
But a few weeks back, Cason was given the opportunity to finally see like everyone else. A new technology called eSight eyewear enlarges items up to 14 times their size. Via a GoFundMe campaign, the Watsons were able to afford a $15,000 pair of eSight glasses for Cason.
He can see his mom now. That’s vision tech news that makes our eyes a little moist. In a good way.
