Blog:Eyewear made of… stone?
Fashion eyewear design and interior design intersected last week, as leading Italian marble company Budri introduced its first line of designer frames. Ironically, it all came about when, back in 2011, during a production for designer Patricia Urquiola, a piece of marble fell and shattered into pieces, one of which resembled a pair of glasses.
Scout’s honor.
Each Budri frame is made from a single slab of stone, and according to Luxury Eyewear Forum, contributes to Budri’s collection of prescription and sun eyewear created in marble, onyx and semi-precious stones.
Quite stunning, indeed.
