Blog:Computer Glasses: More of a deal than you think
Do you frequently use a computer for work, school or otherwise? Perhaps computer glasses are the right choice for keeping your vision crystal clear.
Our computer screens generally sit about 20-27 inches away from our faces – which is much closer than the distances we see when we’re driving, but further than book-reading distance. Prescription lenses are of course available for seeing long distances, as well as up close. Bifocals can even assist you to see both at the same time. But it’s important to be aware that there are also lenses designed specifically to prevent Computer Vision Syndrome, which can consist of blurry vision, eyestrain, headaches and an overall feeling of fatigue when working on your trusty laptop.
If you’re an avid computer user, talk to your optician about computer glasses. Getting a pair can really help to improve your quality of life, ensuring your ability to get things done without experiencing any harmful side effects.
