Blog:Choosing Fashion Eyewear: Get Yourself Into “Shape”
Ever wonder why some people always look great in glasses? Their eyewear always seems to make their entire appearance pop? Well, we have one of their secrets.
Be sure to choose your frame shape based upon the shape of your own face. Here’s what we mean:
Do you have a square-shaped face with sharp angles and a strong jawline? Consider softening it up – round or oval glasses can do the trick. Try to avoid angular looks, as they tend to make your face appear larger than it really is.
If your face is round, reach for those square or rectangle frames, which lengthen your face to create balance and symmetry. Run away from round frames.
Diamond-shaped faces look great in oval eyewear, or other shapes that extend beyond the cheekbones. Try something that draws attention upward, as well, such as a cat eye.
Oval faces are perhaps the easiest to frame. Though you’ll look great in eyewear that is wider than the widest part of your face, remember to avoid frames that are overall too large, as they will reduce your facial shape. Experiment with various angles, as well. You’ll be golden.
