Now you can watch 3-D imaging on the small screen… without wearing glasses to do it. Now, for those fellow tech nerds out there who say, “That’s not news. This has been the case for months now,” hang on.

While that statement is true, there have been some glitches in the technology, which have caused major annoying distortions in images when viewed from some distances. Researchers in Seoul have just announced new eyewear-free technology that layers images from behind the screen to give the viewer a 3-D viewing experience from any distance. And to top it off, you can switch from a 3-D to a 2-D experience instantly, depending on your mood. All without the use of special eyewear. How cool is that?

So far, it only works on smaller screens. But it sounds like only a matter of time before cinema 3-D glasses become museum relics.
